A vast reservoir in the southern Egypt, it was created as a result of the construction of the High Dam. Named after former Egyptian President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, as he was the main proponent of the High Dam project, the lake is 550km long, and 35 km across its widest point. It has become a very popular fishing destination. Nile perch, Tiger fish and Catfish are abundant here. With the beautiful desert scenery and clear waters, Lake Nasser is also the ideal retreat for those who enjoy fishing in a tranquil, scenic environment.
