In 1954, several magnificent boats made of cedar were discovered in a ditch by the Great Pyramid of Cheops. One of the most impressive archeological finds, they were thought to be the boats that would transfer the King to the son God, Ra, in the other world. The boats were reconstructed and now can be seen at the museum.
